George Meredith is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary with more than thirty years experience in senior public and private sector positions.

As a Manager with Price Waterhouse he was involved in setting up the Robe River Mining venture, the INCO Nickel mine in Sulawesi, Indonesia, and a 6 month project in Sabah, reviewing and installing an accounting and management reporting system for the Sabah Ports Authority, with the World Bank.

He helped establish the Allis Chalmers Heavy Equipment Dealership in South East Asia for Hutcheson Whampoa, as a director and Company Secretary of all the companies in the group.

As Chief Accountant for Saudi Arabia's Zahid Tractor he established accounting and management reporting systems for what was, at the time, the most successful Caterpillar Tractor Franchise in the world, with sales exceeding $US1.5 billion.

George was responsible for the diversification and development of Australia's Babcock and Wilcox as they acquired cast iron foundries in far North Queensland and Tasmania.

In the late 1980's he joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as Corporate Chief Accountant. He helped establish, and was Company Secretary of AusTV, and oversaw it's sale to Channel 7.

He left the ABC in 1999, and is now an external financial advisor, risk analyst and trainer.
